Nature Metaphor #2

Racing down the road on my way to work this morning, that outside mirror kept begging for my attention. It was full of fresh, overnight raindrops but the first of the morning light in the background stood out to me.

The analogy came quickly; our wonderful, vibrant selves are always steadfast, even if an occasional “shower” obscures our vision.  Yes, sometimes life brings disastrous “storms”, but our consistent selves are always in the background.

It didn’t take long before the raindrops began to dry up, and by the time I got to work they were gone.  Just like in life, the storms pass and leave you free to express your happy self. Look closely at what clouds, raindrops, or storms you can see through to enjoy today fully.
